Design isn’t just about logos and layouts and the big stuff. The details are all there for the taking too. When unpacking the shopping recently I noticed this nice take on the recycling logo:

It’s a smart little touch, and I applaud the designer who decided to bring a bit of life to the humble recycling symbol on an otherwise rather mind-numbing design job. I’m just not sure if it gives off the right message. Graphically it’s very nice and I get the idea, but taken literally one must ask: Has the toilet roll we wipe our backsides with already been toilet roll that somebody else has wiped their backside with?
If so, sorry environment but give me none-recycled any day.
